The International Spy Museum, Washington DC, US, is a museum of espionage, spies and human intelligence. The museum opened in July 2002.

The history of en- and decoding is explored throughout the museum's main exhibit, from ancient times to the recent past.
A number of encryption devices are on display, including:
- An Enigma
- An M-209 machine
- A Jefferson cipher disk
- An M-94 cipher device
- A replica of a Civil War-era Confederate cipher disk
- A reproduction of the Greek Skytale device.
